Simple Brow Tutorial

Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel, $22, and Brow Wiz, $21.

This has been my most requested post yet! My brows are very simple and I do not like to go overboard with them. I like them to look as natural as they can! So, without further ado, here it is!

To start off, you want to find the right shade for you. If you have dark brows you want to go one to two shades darker than the actual brow color. If you are blonde, go one to two shades lighter. Redheads don't seem to have many options, but this one in the color Auburn is a wonderful choice, depending on your shade.

My favorite brow pencil is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, $21, in Soft Brown. Anastasia is a brow genius! She also has a pomade and brow powder duo. All of her products are amazing.

Here are the steps that I take to achieve the look that I want.

1. After tweezing, comb throw your brows with a spoolie. I like to use the one on the other end of my brow pencil. If you don't have one, Anastasia has a great one here, $18, and Sonia Kashuk has a cheaper version here, $1.99.

2. Now, outline the bottom of your brow like this.

My camera decided to pick up all of my flaws in this picture...

3. Then, outline the top. This is where you can create a sharp or soft arch.

4.  After you are done outlining, you want to start filling them in. When doing this, you want to use light-handed strokes. I normally don't fill in the inner part of my brow. But, if you would like to, go for it!

Now you can stop here or do the next two steps. :)

5. For a more natural look, brush through your brows to take away a little bit of the product. Then add a highlight right underneath your bottom line.

6. Last, add your favorite brow gel. My favorite is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel, $22, it does not move! There are also tinted ones if you want a little more coverage, like this one from Benefit, $22.

And now you're done! Easy peasy!

Easy Eye Look Using The Chocolate Bar Palette

Time for a tutorial! This is my first one so please bear with me. Here we go!

First things first you want to prime your eyelids. (I already filled in my brows with Anastasia Brow Powder Due in Caramel) This helps the shadow stick and stay all day. I use Urban Decay's Primer Potion.

Urban Decay's Primer Potion

Next, I highlighted my brow bone and above my brow using Milani's Brow and Eye Highlighter in Matte Beige/High Glow. I only used the matte end. I use my finger to blend it out.

Yes, I realize I look goofy! :)

Now we start with the eye shadow. With this look you only need two! I started in my crease with Salted Caramel and used windshield wiper motions. The brush I used was E.L.F.'s Eye Shadow Blending Brush, for just $1 it's fantastic!

Now using your ring finger, take Marzipan and pat it all over your lid. You want to use your ring finger because it is the weakest one. You can also use a shader brush. Then blend some more using the same brush you used in your crease.

Now take your favorite liquid liner and finish off with mascara. The liner I used was Maybelline's Line Stiletto Ultimate Precision Liquid Eyeliner. For mascara I used It Cosmetics Tightline and Benefit's They're Real. Then you're done! Here is the final look.

My Favorite Mascara Combination

Happy Earth day!!

Ever have those days that you don't want to wear a full face of make-up but you still want a touch of glamour? That's how I felt this week morning. So instead of busting out the full drawer of products, I only use four. Yup you heard me right, FOUR! For my face I use the L'Oreal Youth Code Texture Perfector Pore Vanisher ($20) to do exactly what the name says it will do, conceal those pores! Then I start on my eyes.

No product

It Cosmetics recently came out with their Tightline mascara. You guys this thing has became a holy grail! I use this to coat my upper lashes and lash line.

It Cosmetics Tightline $24

I love that I can use it and look like I actually tightlined my upper lash line. It takes out that step that I would normally need to do to get the same effect. Although it is a little more subtle.

With It Cosmetics Tightline Mascara (upper lashes only)

After I am done with my top lashes I use Benefits They're Real Mascara on the top and bottom lashes.

Benefit's They're Real $23 (full size)
In my opinion, it has one of the coolest wands I have ever seen. Right now I only have a sample size and it has lasted me forever! Here is my completed eye look.

Benefit's They're Real added to top and bottom lashes

And NOW I can conquer the world! OK maybe that's slightly extreme. But slap a little mascara on this girl and I feel like I can do all things! The last product that goes on is just a touch of lip gloss. And that's it! You are now good to go!
