Springtime Eye Tutorial

I recently did a springtime look on my YouTube channel using the Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar palette from Too Faced! I have been loving this palette, it has so many wonderful neutrals and a few beautiful pops of color. I used the color Blueberry Swirl on my lid and I loved it! Check out my video below!

Birthday Haul!!

Happy birthday to me! On December 3rd I will be turning 28 years old. Does anyone else dread turning 30? I know I am! But birthdays are always fun nonetheless.

My husband and mom both gave me my gifts early (because they're the best). I was so excited to show you guys and give mini reviews on what I did get! Let's get started.

Anastasia Contour Kit $40

When I heard the Anastasia Contour Kit was back in stock, it was immediately added to my list. I wanted this so bad last year and it sold out before I could get my hands on it. I was super exited to finally get it and let me tell you, it is amazing.

Top: Vanilla, Banana, Sand Bottom: Java, Fawn, Havana
Banana is perfect as a under eye concealer setting powder. Also, I love using Java and Fawn, they are my favorite to bronze and contour with. These are also really good eye shadows, especially on days that you want a more natural look.

Vanilla, Banana, Sand, Java, Fawn, Havana

Mama also got me the Anastasia Catwalk palette. This was only $19 on their website!

Anastasia Catwalk Palette $19
Top: Call Back, Strut, Scout, Beauty Mark, LBD
Bottom: Day Rate, Couture, RTW, 10K, Pose
The colors in here are beautiful. They swatch beautifully. I haven't used it yet though, but I plan on it tomorrow.

I also talked her into sharing the two pack of Evian sprays she got. I've been wanting to pick this up so it was great that she was so willing to share. Thanks, Mama!

Evian Facial Spray 2 pack $14.99
Last she took me to Bath and Body Works and to my surprise they finally got their Twisted Peppermint fragrance back! They had a sale going on, buy three, get three so she got some of the Vanilla Bean Noel things and she got me the following.

Sparkling Snowflake Scrub $16.50
Ultra Shea Body Cream $12.50
Shower Gel $12.50

Every year it seems like Urban Decay comes out with something within a week of my birthday. Last year, Naked 3 came out and shipped to me on my birthday and this year Naked on the Run came out. Being the Urban Decay junkie that I am, this was something that I couldn't live without. (Dramatic much?) I mean it is all I ever dreamed it would be.

Naked on the Run $54

The palette comes with a travel size mascara, Perversion (my new holy grail), a travel size 24/7 glide on liner in the color Stag, a full size Naked lipgloss in Sesso, six never before seen shades of eye shadow and a blush and bronzer.

Dive, Fix, Resist, Dare, Stun
Bronzer, Blush, 5050
Perversion, Stag, Sesso

Can you hear the choir singing? This literally has not left my purse! Oh! The mascara you see in my picture is a deluxe sized sample that I already had, I want to use it up before I break into the other one. If you're looking for a palette that gives you everything you need, get this before it's gone!

Tarte Pin Up Girl blush palette $42

Tarte came out with one of these palette last year and everyone went berserk! I missed out on it just like the Contour Kit and I was ecstatic when they released another one this year!

Breathless, Embraced, Whimsy, Bashful, Irreplaceable

Breathless, Embraced, Whimsy, Bashful, Irreplaceable

These blushes are GORGEOUS. I have been using Breathless everyday. It's a barely there blush and is perfect for those "natural" days. There are 5 in all and they claim to wear for 12 hours. I can't quite say that yet, but they do last longer than others I have tried. I'll keep trying them out and let y'all know!

Becca Shimmering Perfector Pressed in Opal $38

That highlight though!! Ever since Jaclyn Hill slapped this onto her cheekbones, I've been dying to get my hands on it! I just couldn't bring myself to get it. Thank God for husbands, right? It's beautiful! This is going to last me FOREVER! The tiniest bit goes the longest way! There are two more I want to try, the rose gold one and the gold one. Have y'all tried them? Let me know in the comments below!

The last two were free. I racked up 500 points at Sephora over the last year and a half and it was perfect timing because they had a 500 point reward from Urban Decay!

When the lady at the checkout asked me what I wanted, I instantly said this one! Turns out they were out! :( Well the lovely lady gave me the one out of the display, God bless her, she made my day! This tiny palette comes with four shadows, a 24/7 Glide On Liner in Zero (one of my faves) and a sample of their popular Primer Potion!

I think the wand on this mascara is cool. I haven't tried it yet but I'm hoping that it's good. I have tried the lipstick and I love the color! It feels like a balm because it is SO creamy! I may be purchasing this in the full size version.

Well that's it! I hope you enjoyed my haul and the mini reviews! Please take a moment to subscribe and like me on Facebook! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Disclaimer: I am not trying to show off.  Hauls are some of my favorite things to see and I hope you guys like them too!

Urban Decay's Vice 3: Swatches and Review

Urban Decay's holiday lineup is here! They have 2 new 24/7 liner sets, a lipstick stash, an All Nighter Setting Spray Duo, Naked Illuminated and last but not least, Vice 3. Vice was definitely the thing I was most excited about. Here are my thoughts!

First things first I'm the realest the packaging. Vice 3 is quite similar to Vice 1 and 2 as it is plastic and it has a nice BIG mirror on the inside.  It also opens to the perfect angle to apply your make-up which is really nice. The outside is silver on the front with raised lettering in lime green that says Vice. The back is a bright lime green also.

Urban Decay's Vice 3 $60
One cool thing they did this time around was include a bag for the palette to live in. It matches the exterior of the palette and has Urban Decay's UD on the bottom right corner. This bag is pretty darn big! It would be a wonderful travel bag!

In addition to the bag you get a double ended brush. This one is really similar to the one that came with Vice 2, when I put them side by side there were hardly any differences. The brush is also lime green and the writing matches the writing on the palette.

Now for the important part, the shadows! Brownie points to Urban Decay for creating 20, yes TWENTY, all new shades! I love how they really thought about the little things. In the first row, going from the top to the bottom, we have the neutrals. The second through fourth rows are all jewel tones and the third row is the smokey colors.

Truth: Pale pink-nude matte
Undone: Pink-beige matte-satin with subtle floating tonal pearl
Downfall: Warm light brown matte
DTF: (my my) Taupe matte with subtle floating pearl

L to R: Truth, Undone, Downfall, DTF
Dragon: Bright metallic green shimmer
Freeze: (This straight up reminds me of Elsa) Metallic medium blue with multidimensional micro-glitter
Heroine: Deep navy blue with subtle floating tonal pearl
Brokedown: Metallic golden brown shimmer with gold micro-glitter

L to R: Dragon, Freeze, Heroine, Brokedown
Vanity: Smoky metallic eggplant with multidimensional micro-glitter
Lucky: Metallic bronze
Reign: Rich brown satin
Bobby Dazzle: Metallic white with pale gold micro-glitter

L to R: Vanity, Lucky, Reign, Bobby Dazzle
Alien: Pink-peach with golden shift.
Alchemy: Deep fuchsia satin
Bondage: Deep, smoky burgundy shimmer
Sonic: (LOVE THIS) Metallic red-copper

L to R: Alien, Alchemy, Bondage, Sonic
Last Sin: Champagne shimmer with silver micro-glitter
Angel: Light taupe satin
Defy: Smoky taupe satin
Revolver: Soft black satin with subtle floating iridescent pearl

L to R: Last Sin, Angel, Defy, Revolver
Overall this is a gorgeous palette! From the packaging to the colors. The only thing I wish they would have done differently is add that nifty little button that they added to the Vice 2 palette, but I won't be picky. The shadows are creamy and buttery and SUPER pigmented. I didn't use any primer under the swatches and they still worked perfectly. Out of the looks I've created so far, I have noticed that the colors blend together beautifully! The first row is a bit powdery, but nothing too bad.

If you are looking for a palette that has practically everything you need, then look no more! Vice has you covered. This would also be the perfect Christmas present for the make-up lover in your life.

Urban Decay's Naked2 Basics

Urban Decay Naked2 Basics $29
Urban Decay has released a new palette! Just over a month ago they announced Naked2 Basics and everyone went stir crazy. I was super excited to get my hands on this palette! The original has been my go to for my everyday make-up for a long time now.

Top: Naked Basics Bottom: Naked2 Basics

The packaging has stayed the same with the exception of the lighter lettering. Both have a good size mirror and both are small enough to take with you on the go. Many people may say that the new palette is practically identical to the original, but I beg to differ! While they are similar, they are very different.

Top: Naked Basics Bottom: Naked2 Basics

Naked2 Basics is much cooler and on the taupe side. Five of the shades are matte and one is more of a satin. While they can be a little powdery, they all blend beautifully. I also like that you don't only have to use these as shadows. The colors can work great as brow powders (which is what I used Faint for, from the original, for a long time), you can use them as liners and you can even use the lightest shade as a highlight. Being so versatile makes it great to travel with!

Another thing I have noticed is that I have a lot of palettes that do not have the blending colors I need or the highlights and the Naked Basics palettes are the perfect companions to those. They give you those staple colors that you need, that you may not have.

I recommend this to those who don't already have staples in their collection or to those who are just Urban Decay junkies like me.

Lorac Pro 2 Palette: Swatches and Review

Lorac's amazing Pro 1 palette is one of the most used palettes in my collection. So, imagine my excitement when I found out that a new one was coming out! Well, the wait is over and it has made it's way into my make-up drawer.

The original was warm toned, a lot like Urban Decay's first Naked palette. This one is much more cool toned. It also has a few pops of color, like the first one, with colors like Plum, Navy and Jade.

Pigmentation in this is absolutely perfect! There is also no fallout with the mattes and very little with the shimmers (just be sure to tap the excess shadow from your brush).

Within the palette you get 8 mattes and 8 shimmers. It also comes with a deluxe sample of their Behind The Scenes eye primer.

Lorac Pro 2, $42
The top row is all mattes.

The bottom row is all shimmer.

This came just in time for fall and I can't wait to create a ton of looks with all the gorgeous colors! Come back soon for a fall tutorial!

Brand New EOS Visibly Soft Lip Balm Review

I saw this today at Target and I immediately purchased it! Maybe it's because I am a self proclaimed lip product junkie or just because of the adorable packaging! But nonetheless I am constantly reaching for something to moisturize my lips, especially in the fall and winter. So, I was pleasantly surprised to see that EOS had came out with a brand new formula.

EOS Visibly Soft Lip Blame in Coconut Milk, .25 Oz,$2.99
Personally, I love this more than the originals. It doesn't have that waxy film like the others and it goes on SO smooth! The smell is freaking fantastic! I've had it for 4 hours and I'm already in love.

EOS says that they are 99% natural, petrolatum-free, paraban-free, gluten-free and phthalate-free. Definitely check this out! They also come in the flavor Vanilla Mint.
